WinLicense, a VPS and WordPress
Windows software licensing, joined up with a server and a WordPress site.
WinLicense protects Windows applications and issues their licence keys. This project connected WinLicense, a VPS and a WordPress site so the three could work together.
// what-it-does
What it does
Three systems that do not know about each other out of the box.
WinLicense handles protection and licensing on the Windows side. WordPress is where the site and its users live. The VPS sits between them. The work was the glue: getting the three to exchange what each one needed.
// how-it-was-built
How it was built
Server-side code on the VPS and a WordPress plugin, around WinLicense.
It spanned a Windows licensing tool, a Linux server and WordPress, which is why the old portfolio filed it under three categories at once.
A custom build from before 2022. The code was never published and I no longer maintain it; this page keeps the record of what it did.

Where the work went next
The portfolio is the record. The plugins, apps and systems I still maintain have their own pages, with current versions and numbers.
